The glitzy week was all about bumping into the same crowd, listening to the
same questions; which Abaya is your favorite? and what you think of fashion
this season?
Fashion shows, weddings and finally being able to finish my lovely campaign.
I can’t wait to launch it!
BTW for those who are not from this part of the world, our fall starts next month J
Listing my Favorite Trio this week:
1@Lamya Abedin Queen of Spade Fashion Show at Atlantis Dubai
Lamya as I recall follows a theme to inspire and guide her designs. This season she presented the Hanami collection - inspired by the cherry blossom festival of Japan.
Plentiful Japanese art forms and techniques have been used to structure the collection. Fabrics like hand-painted silks, Japanese suede, and chiffons were used galore.
Lamya always talks about how a unique look plays an integral part in her abaya style and the essence of turning a particular favorite garment into multiple styles.
This time I can see it was the two-piece loose-fitted trousers paired with a wrap-around top, created on the kimono, Portable sleeves and reversible abayas.
Like the land of rising sun theme she is our rising star!
2@Amal Murad Fashion Show
Saks 5th Avenue introduced Amal Murad’s REDAA collection in an informal setting!
The collection, a sophisticated and modern abayas, mostly for cocktail and evening wears, matching clutch bags and a new addition of silk scarves.
I adored the simplicity and elegance of the set up and the chance to see the entire collection up close.
3@Ilhaam Group Campaign
At Last my final campaign shoot done and ready to roll!!! I’m so thrilled and excited to announce it soon. Stay Inspired!

Hey Illham,
ReplyDeleteWell, kudos to the effort that you have put. And I must compliment you for the immaculate contrasting between differentiated cultures with a graceful pictorial description.
This is really great and I hope, will help reader to understand the globalization of the age and how fashion has played a great role in bringing cultures, social upbringing and taste on a single platform.
Keep it up..!! I would be looking forward to more of such articles.
Thanks.
