Austin Powers, Carnaby Street, Mary Quant Minis, What is missing?

A: A Pucci Dress

I love the free-spirited and adventurous looks of the 60s era and what better way than to marry two famous brands of that period Austin Powers and Pucci.
For this photoshoot you can also see we used Carnaby Street in the background, a pyschadelic shopping full of funky boutiques selling Pucci prints and Mary Quant minis.

A UAE National, fashion icon and an incredible host! My beautiful cousin called me up the week before last.  She was calling to tell me about how she is thinking of creating her own business.  Being an incredible host and a very stylish women she had an inborn talent that had to be discovered. Here she is two weeks later working day and night to give us this news. I leave you to review her piece of edible arts. The way she displays them is just beautiful. She places them just so on perfect unique platters.  You almost do not want to eat them as the display is so beautiful.  However that first bite is just so yummy you can hardly stop from eating another and then even another of these Entres. I am very happy for her and her business success

Power of Minimilasm

There are many approaches that you can use in photography that focuses on clothing, but going with a Minimalist background is sometimes a wise choice. For fashion photography, the goal is to draw the eye to the best qualities of a garment. A viewer sometimes can be distracted by an excessively elaborate backdrop on the picture. Excessive detail in the background can also be a problem when some feature of it might be unappealing to the viewers, which then makes the clothing less appealing by association. However, the potential value of a Minimalist background should never be underestimated and I was surprised to see how alive the details appeared allowing the clothes at the center of the picture to shine.

Tale of Two Galleries

Art Gallery Visits are a great way to open yourself up to a new world. In the DIFC Gate Village, its known for its fine art culture which is a mix of shops, businesses and art galleries. I was invited by Elie Domit owner of The Empty Quarter to view “Fashion the Story of A lifetime” and happen to pop into Quadro Gallery by coincidence. The Empty Quarter event was about photography of fashion and an explanation of Parveen Shaath's fashion in the inner circle of Saudi Society from 1950s up until the late 1990s. With such a blend of fashion, history, and beauty, this particular gallery visit opened my eyes to a world filled with exciting beauty. I was startled to see how in the yesteryear fashion was photographed With such a limited resources but delivered enchanting master pieces.

At the Quadro Gallery, Marc Sijan's work can be viewed and appreciated for all art lovers. Finding this gallery and the amazing work hidden inside was found by chance as a security guards vision towards a certain direction has my eye following his line of sight and that is where I noticed a particular stunning sculpture by Mark Sijan. Once inside, I was amazed at the beauty Marc Sijan can accomplish with his artistic hands and vision. Having Michelangelo’s David for inspiration, he gravitated towards his works of art being a tribute to the realism of people and the honest emotions. To view his work is a treat anyone can appreciate.
